servpro cleaning technician When disaster strikes, call in the pros that know how to get the job done right the first time!

SERVPRO of East Cobb has been in the restoration industry for nearly two decades, in the age of “fly by the night” restoration companies this is no easy feat. The restoration industry can be a tough business to make customers happy. They are typically in a pretty poor mood when they call us, which is to be expected. Often times they have quite a mess on their hands. From water in the basement or crawlspace to discovering mold in the attic, even experiencing a kitchen or other type of house fire. Their home has been significantly damaged. That in itself can put even the most cheerful homeowners in a bad mood. Let SERVPRO of East Cobb ease your worries and stress. We can be on-site in less than an hour in most cases and are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, even during major holidays.

One of the reasons SERVPRO of East Cobb has been so successful in the restoration industry is our resolve in using only the best professional/commercial grade equipment available on the market and our commitment to training our restoration technicians . Our firm as a whole, as well as our individual technicians, are IICRC certified and under-go rigorous ongoing training programs provided to us by SERVPRO’s corporate headquarters in Gallatin, TN. With over 1,700 franchises nationwide, you are guaranteed to have a SERVPRO franchise nearby that is ready to come to the rescue at a moment's notice. SERVPRO’s franchise system has built a network of knowledge and experience unmatched in the restoration industry, and affords every SERVPRO nationwide the assets necessary to take on any size disaster. SERVPRO of East Cobb is your local Cobb County and greater metro Atlanta area residential and commercial restoration service provider.

If you’ve ever experienced a water loss in your home or business you are probably pretty familiar with some of the equipment SERVPRO of East Cobb utilizes on our customer’s restoration projects. Air movers and dehumidifiers are used on almost every water restoration project SERVPRO handles, and they work great for most drying situations. Sometimes materials or environment dictate the need for even more specialized drying equipment. Let's take a little bit closer look at some of these specialty drying machines.

Specialized Drying Systems

When we talk about specialized drying equipment, we are talking about equipment that is not readily available to the general public or requires specialized training to operate safely and successfully. Customers often refer to our air moving equipment as “fans”. Fans are sold at your local big box store like Wal-mart and are great for keeping you cool during a hot afternoon, but are not designed to dry building materials or the structure of your home. Fans do not move the volume of air, commercial air movers move and lack the ability to be dirctionalized air flow to facilitate an ideal drying environment. The same can be said about the dehumidifiers SERVPRO of East Cobb utilizes. SERVPRO’s dehumidifiers are substantially different from the residential or home-use products people often use to remedy a cold or to alleviate asthma symptoms. Residential dehumidifiers are often conventional type dehumidifiers and are not capable of the same drying output or cubic feet per minute (CFM) of moving air, as SERVPRO’s low-grain refrigerant (LGR) dehumidifiers. Your average home use dehumidifier is capable of far fewer CFM’s than commercial grade dehumidifiers and often many lack the proper filtration capabilities to remove air impurities often found on water restoration job sites.

SERVPRO of East Cobb’s highly trained water restoration specialists have intimate knowledge of how each piece of drying equipment works and each piece’s specialized and intended purposes. Having the right tool for the job will only get you so far. Without proper training and an in depth knowledge of the drying process the drying equipment can cause more harm than good and can result in costly mistakes and repairs.

Wall and Floor Mat Drying Systems - Wall and floor mat drying systems are industrial pieces of drying equipment that have specialized purposes. As you could probably glean from their names, they are specifically designed to dry walls and floors. There are many different types of wall and floor mat drying systems, but most operate off of similar designs. They typically have a centralized dehumidification or a heating pump unit that provides dehumidified/warm air to a series of mats or panels that are taped to the surface of the material being dried. The mats or panels force warm dry air over the surface of walls and/or flooring quickly and safely removing moisture from the building materials. *SERVPRO of East Cobb utilizes several different models of wall and floor drying systems, here are a few of our go to pieces: HP Plus Complete System, Injectidry HP-60 Drying System w/ floor drying panels, HP Plus Floor Drying Package, HP Plus Wall and Ceiling Drying Package

Carpet Cleaning and Water Extraction Systems

Carpet cleanings are a big part of the restoration industry, and are probably one of the more common reasons customers call SERVPRO of East Cobb. Extraction power, heating capabilities, and operator training are the three main metrics that separate SERVPRO’s commercial carpet cleaning equipment/services from residential carpet cleaning equipment or rental carpet cleaning equipment. Residential or rental carpet cleaning equipment are not capable of the same heating and extraction/vacuum power as SERVPRO professional grade equipment, and unless you have a former carrier in carpet cleaning industry you probably lack the knowledge base and experience to avoid all of the possible pit-fall that come alone with rental carpet cleaning systems and DIY projects.

Portable Carpet Cleaning Systems - Portable carpet cleaning systems are great for reaching hard to reach areas in your home or business. They are typically a little bit smaller than a shopping cart that you would find at a grocery store. Restoration and drying specialists will use these types of systems to clean and restore carpet, window treatments, and upholstery. Our technicians have been certified by the IICRC and participate in our continued education training program, where they receive additional hands on training with the equipment they will use to restore our customers property. When choosing a restoration company to mitigate and restore your property, it is important to do some research and find a company you feel good about and have confidence in. One of the best ways you can research restoration companies is to visit reputable online review platforms like the Better Business Bureau (BBB), HomeAdvisor, or Yelp. You can even try visiting the company's Facebook page, check out how many Google Reviews they have, or even simply browse their website for before and after pictures of the work they have completed. Review platforms often award badges or an accreditation to companies with great customer service. For example, the BBB website rates business based on customer experiences and identifies stellar companies with a “BBB Accredited Business” badge. Google has special ad placements for companies that are “Google Verified” and even offer customers financial guarantees and warranties on the work completed by the company that placed the Google Verified Ad. In case you were wondering, SERVPRO of East Cobb is both a Googles Verified Ads service provider, and an A+ Rated Accredited Business
