While no two fire restoration projects are exactly the same, SERVPRO of East Cobb has developed a seven step process that will ensure your property is restored to preloss condition quickly, safely and in accordance with IICRC standards.

Step 1: Emergency Contact

The restoration process starts when you, our customer, calling SERVPRO of East Cobb. Our job file coordinator will ask several questions regarding the fire damage event which will help us respond quickly with the appropriate equipment and resources.

Step 2: Inspection and Fire Damage Assessment

We will inspect the property for safety concerns and mitigate any risks to your property and our employees, then carefully inspect and test adjoining rooms of your property to determine the extent of the fire, smoke, and soot damage. This step is crucial to developing a plan of action and allows us to put together a scope of work and estimate for your particular fire restoration project.

Step 3: Immediate Board-Up and Roof-Tarp Service

Fire damage often compromises walls, windows, and even the roof. To restore security and to protect against further damage, we can board up missing windows and walls and place tarps on damaged roofs to protect your property.

Step 4: Water Removal and Drying (if water damage is present)

The water removal process begins once the property has been deemed safe to enter and the property is secured. SERVPRO will remove the majority of the water using water extraction tools like high flow rate submersible pumps, sump pumps, high powered truck mounted vacuum systems, commercial portable wet vacuums. We then use dehumidifiers, air movers and an array of IICRC approved drying techniques to remove the remaining water and complete the drying process quickly and safely.

Step 5: Removal of Smoke and Soot from All Surfaces

SERVPRO of East Cobb also has a host of specialized equipment and techniques at our disposal to remove smoke and soot from ceilings, walls, and other surfaces.
